Best Minnesota Wedding Venues 2023

let’s chat wedding venues. what makes a great wedding venue? so many things to consider but i would start with the best wedding venue for you is one that fits your style and your needs.

The KEY things to think about:

-how many people are you going to have. A venue can feel too big or too small just based off of this simple starting point. So knowing the range of people you expect to have is key.

-does the venue fit your style? are you a more eclectic couple that might want something a bit different, or are you more classic vibes and want something that fits that a bit more. there are such a range of venues so knowing the vibes you are going for will help you narrow in. The venue is your backdrop for all of your photos - so think about it also as a space you would want your wedding day captured. If you light lighter/brighter photos, more of a white backdrop will help. If you want a lot of green space - a vineyard might be the way to go.

-LIGHT - this goes hand in hand with style because the light in your venue also plays a large role in your photos. is there a lot of natural light? what time of year are you getting married and would you need to bring in some light to create the ambiance you want?

Other considerations:

these often aren’t deal breakers but key things to think about when touring spaces.

-what time can you get into the venue (and what time do you need to be out)? a lot of times this can determine if you can get ready in the space

-getting ready spaces or proximity to getting ready space

-what is included from the venue vs what you would need to bring in - all of this usually leads to different pricing structures so good to consider.
